Custom Water Feature for the Amrine Family
Mark and Stacy live in the beautiful Lake Wilderness area. They have a huge backyard that backs up to a forest with tons of potential. They love relaxing in their backyard and wanted a water feature, but weren’t sure of exactly what to do. That’s where we came in.
Mark and Stacy’s house sits at the top of a giant hill, the yard gradually slopes down to a point and is surrounded by trees. We wanted to put the water feature at the bottom of the hill so they could see it from every room in the back of their house, as well as their amazing back deck. Check out the “before” video below, talk about a blank slate!
Ya’ll know we love our machines, so we started with digging and grading the space out with our John Deere Excavator and Ditch Witch Skid Steere…
We brought in 200 yards of dirt to build up the wetland bog filtration system that goes behind the pond and build up space for a dramatic waterfall…
Aquascape Wetland Filter System
What is a wetland filtration system you ask? Aquascape incorporates our patented Snorkel® Vault and Large Centipede® Module, along with a layer of AquaBlox® Water Storage Modules to provide an effective bog filter for a variety of water features. Wetland filtration is highly effective at removing sediment (suspended solids) from ponds, improves water clarity, and reduces the need for costly and invasive dredging on larger water features. The wetland filtration system works on earth bottom and liner membrane ponds and is easily retrofitted onto existing ponds. It also reduces the physical and chemical maintenance that goes along with removing algae.
The final product was a dream come true for our clients. They now spend their evenings watching the sunset behind the waterfall. Check out our after photos and videos.
